My favorite, family owned business-client in the construction industry continues to keep me busy as we deploy new parts and pieces to their web portal (internal application). This particual client - easily the best people I've ever worked for - continues to grow their business and improve their internal processes. My role with them is to understand their business and how it's been working all along, and then advise them to leave certain parts alone (if it ain't broke don't fix it) or build and improve internal applications that make sense, are cost effective and will yield substantial return on investment. Most recently we deployed an internal dispatching system to track individual supply orders, crews and jobs. With as many as a dozen different primary vendors, almost 2 dozen different crews and an endless supply of jobs this project grew in size and complexity quickly. With regular and consistent communication we deployed this part of the application on time, under budget and to everyone's liking. I continue to function in a support role as well as forging ahead with new requirements, analysis, prototypes and demos of upcoming functionality for the next piece of the application.
WELL VERSED BUILDING WEB TOOLS
Over the last 15 years I've had the privilege to provide web application development services for companies like IBM, MapQuest, Microsoft, Roguewave Software and others in industries spanning information technology, software, telecommunications, health care and manufacturing. I've built applications from the ground up, having been directly involved in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle Process. I've provided backfill resources, support and maintenance roles also. I'm also keeping busy and staying active with ColdFusion, Flash, Flex and database management technologies. More recently I've been involved with SEO, multimedia technology and RIA (Rich Internet Applications). Flash generating applications like Flash, Flash Catalyst, Flash Builder and Captivate have served as a launching point for my multimedia passions and even uncovered some new ones.

Currently Active With....
Worked on project, retainer based and incident based application development and support for a variety of private clients (non-disclosure agreements protection). ColdFusion 7, 8 and 9 server implementations with Fusebox, ModelGlue and traditional linear framework codebases. Work included all phases of SDLC including requirements, business analysis, project management, budget forecasting and management, prototyping and wireframing, coding, testing, regression, version and source control, deployment and documentation (usually electronic). These projects were developed with a variety of backend systems including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft Access and SQL Server. These applications are very customized applications performing advanced tasks directly related to client business needs and requirements. Additional software used during this timeframe include Adobe After Effects, OnLocation, Flash, Premiere Pro, MacSpeech Dictate and Apple Keynote. Additionally I'm experimenting with various speech to text applications with hopes of refining the documentation and knowledgebase arenas.
Working With The Feds
While working for the federal government I served on various teams that supported patient care records for the federal government in the Department of Defense. I supported existing site infrastructure for former mainframe users who were converted to the client server world of the web (a more "mature" crowd) I took on and completed assignments for new and/or improved functionality to existing applications but enhanced them where it made sense with newer functionality included in ColdFusion and Adobe's toolset, including the Spry framework and Flash forms. Worked with DBAs to enhance data models to utilize caching and various data manipulation options to enhance reporting performance. Provided mock ups and demos for UI and data integration within an existing framework. Provided and generated required documentation as needed by the federal government. Developed proof of concepts for multimedia versions of documentation and lifecycle processing to be used for in house development efforts.
How can I help your company?
CENTRALLY LOCATED

I've had the pleasure of calling Golden, Colorado "home" for the last 12 years. Located just outside of Denver and a mere 35 minute drive to Denver International Airport Golden continues to empower my availabity and services as my office is conveniently located in the middle of the country, time zones and flight patterns, so when duty calls I can be on-site at your facility in just an hour or two. Of course, my office is fully equipped with high bandwidth data connections, numerous testing and staging servers complete with backup power sources. Since I'm a beta tester for Adobe Systems I've learned to work with products like Adobe Connect that continue to save me and my clients time, money and ultimately downtime. I'm never more than a screen broadcast away which helps improve communication, save both of us time and money and simply helps everyone get their jobs done faster.
